High Arts Hoarder is the third installment of the Visual Utopia series. It is a utopic re-imagining of who holds the power to define "good" art and high fashion. For centuries, the dictators of taste have worked within heavily guarded and unforgiving industries. High Arts Hoarder critiques this fortress of high culture and stages its total overthrow. This photo story presents an alternate universe: What if the queer, the eccentric, the chaotic, and the maximalist were the norm? What if the gatekeepers of wealth, opportunity, and status were those who treat high art like a playful toy and discarded trash like treasure?
